The digital divide

Digital divide : Def. gulf between those who have ready access to computers and the internet, and those who do not I do have access to a digital device and wifi. Using technology nowadays is very help like if you didn't understand what you teacher thought you you can search it up. And it's very easy to access since we have our own phones. Our data is neither private nor protected. On online if people research my name I won't have any bad things. All you'll see is baby pics, school , achievement etc. but referring to Snapchat that's a whole different story. Don't get it wrong I don't do illegal stuff or anything else. But you'll probably find me doing weird stuff like dumb funny stuff. Like any normal teen does like goofing around.

Ignite talk

My big question is about trust . Like why don't the circus trust animals and tie them up and they  supposedly say they are well trained One thing I did over break was I read articles and websites surrounding my topic One thing I learned over break about my project was that we lack trust and we all have trust issues My topic is similar too us, we sit in the classrooms (tied) we wait for the bell to ring since we're (trained ) The next thing I'm doing is collecting more and information and suming it all up

So far my spring break started off with ...

Fahrenheit 451 Essay

#1 In Fahrenheit 451 Ray Bradbury introduces us with 2 characters, call it what you will : important, supporting, etc. Their names Clarisse and Beatty. Ray Bradbury's tone for both characters are different.  Clarisse has a soft introduction, kid like. She's seen as a kind, curious person who's loves nature. As for Beatty it's the complete opposite. He's basically the antagonist of the story. When we first meet clarisse we see how she relates to a kid, asking Montag multiple questions. As well we find out, her love about nature. " isn't this a nice time of night to walk? I like to smell things and look at things ....". Yet in Fahrenheit 451 everyone is the opposite of clarisse, they can't have advantages of one another and many don't even interact with each other. Clarisse does all that, she talks and interacts with her family, what we consider normal. Even Montag notices her uniqueness , " you think too much." Yet Ray Bradbury als

Questions pg. 148-158

"Don't judge a book by its cover" cliché thing to say, they considered themselves books  Montag still cares for Mildred since he her husband and feels sympathy towards her. I think the  author is showing us how montag is becoming more human like and how he is changing  The hands show the person personality. Meaning grangers grandfather is dead and mildread was lifeless, her hands wouldn't do a thing basically like grangers dead grandfather ( her hands didn't want to get " dirty" )  Granger told montag the story of his grandfather and how he did these things which many can do but not the way he used to do it ( it's not the same) 3 seconds was the time going slow in slow motion like in movies, but for me when I first read three seconds " all of the time in history " I automatically thought of it as, my life flashed before my eyes Phoniex , it would did in the flame of fire and  reincarnate but it wouldn't take in mind what he did w

Guiding questions 133-147

1. ( quality, time and permission), its to take time and enjoy it  Montag saw a deer He's complaining about the fire and then ironically he came across a fire, montag said that the fire was different since it wasn't burning but warning him ( fire - "white and red color" ) Granger is a leader of a small group he seems to know montag since they are watching the chase. They also helped montag  The show portrays "montag " being captured and being killed but in reality an innocent man was being killed and they didn't really show his face  When granger said " we made the right kind of mistake" is because they too " found out " the truth, they became different from society

Run montag run

I think that montag is going t o die, since so far everyone is dying and even faber and he's ' innocent', so I don't think montag has a great chance of living

The chase is on

1.  The hounds attacked montag because he killed Beatty and now is on the run 2. Montag used the flame thrower to defend himself from the hounds causing them to explode 3. Montag relized that Beatty wanted to die because they joked around and wouldn't move he stayed still 4. Montag went to faber house 5. When montag crossed the street he thought that the police was chasing him and thought that it was all over but later found out it wasn't a police

Questions 451 Fahrenheit

Image

Montag kills

I believe that montag aimed at Betty with the flamethrower since Betty was somewhat mocking hi, and because Betty mentioned that they would track down (the hounds?)  the professor and montag didn't want them to get Faber so he burned betty

F451 question ch. 1

1. In Fahrenheit 451 the world is different from ours, it the opposite of our world like a parallel universe. The firemen are the same and stuff like that yet the adult acts childish and the child is acting mature 2. Clarisse is special since she could "see" what used to happen or what she thinks happened in the past, she thinks, 3. ?

Modernism

the yellow house right down the corner of my street was filled with red and blue lights. The neighbors were just like ants gathered around trying to get a glimps of what just occurred. While me, I was trying to make it past the people and newscast wanting to leave and forget what just occurred.

Gatsby, good or bad ?

Cons. • sells alcohol • is obsessed with Daisy • using Nick and Jordan to get Daisy attention •

What I see in literature

I believe that imagery, smile, metaphors etc. help explain themes in The Great Gatsby and Prufrock. It cause it gives meaning to the story/theme, it gives the people imagination and helps the story /theme sound amazing in the choice of words and how something small can be something greater and affect part of the story.

Gatsby remix

Mister gatsby is treated like any rich person, people think bad about him and yet their at there home sometimes people who haven't seen him imagine them as a terrible person due to what the hear of them. I'll use the devil for example he's known for being the opposite of God and people think they know how he looks but in reality they don't because we haven't seen him, and if people do see him it's normally not in his for he probably will look like a child, from what I've seen in movies and from what I heard. Also idk if I'm right but it's seems that Jordan is somewhat changing because of what gatsby might have told her and she probably likes, yet nick thinks he likes her almost like a love triangle idk though.

Gatsby ch. 3 notes

Gatsby • German spy ? • killed a man ? - calls nick "old sport", he smiled understandingly to nick • Age = around his thirties • sent his butler to ask ms. Baker if he could speak alone with her Jordan Nick said " she's becoming dishonest " She lying ( car , etc.) Nick • falling in love with Jordan? " Everyone suspects himself... I have ever known" (pg. 64) Florid = red-faced Corpulent = fat Wafer = thin cookie

The great gatsby remix 1

I the first chapter of the great gatsby, on page 8 they talk about Midas, Morgan etc. which refers to money. King Midas would make everything he touched gold,  and Morgan a U.S financier. And in the  very beginning of the book it starts of with a quote. Which a father gave to a son. This reminds me of Spider-Man, instead of the father it's the grandpa who gave him advice, "With great power comes great responsibility". Since it's only the first chapter, I didn't really understand much and I got lost on the way.

The great gatsby notes 2

Divan = couch 🛋 A phone call --> tom cheated on daisy Green light ✳️ (Pg. 6) " except a single green light, minute and far away ..."

The great gatsby notes

" the great gatsby does not proclaim the nobility of the human spirit" ( preface ) •Epigraph- qoute that shows up at the beginning of the book, that gives a hint of the theme " whenever you feel like criticizing anyone, just remember... Advantages that you've had " ( pg. 5) " gatsby who represented everything for which I have an unaffected scorn" ( pg. 6 ) " Midas, Morgan & maecenas" (pg. 8) = money 💰

Music as Literature

I personally consider music to be literature, because music is similar to the definition of literature. Literature : collective written words of a culture or imaginative / creative writing, artistic value. As for knowing the difference between A poem, song, rap, novel, etc. is that a poem and novel would be considered as literature in basically the use of words, as for a song and rap etc. would be the second definition of literature creative writing, those things are considered as artistic.
